Waxing — Pre- and Post-Care
At Ripristinare Retreat, our commitment is to uncompromising excellence.
Every product we use, every technique we practice, is chosen with intention to support your skin’s health, comfort, and lasting beauty.
Our waxes are as natural as possible—free from mineral oils, fillers, or low-grade ingredients—and we craft our own blends when nothing meets our standards.
If you have allergies, sensitivities, or special considerations, please let us know: we know exactly what’s in our products and can safely provide hair removal for you.

A space for every body
Inclusive, welcoming, and body-positive, we celebrate all genders, shapes, and expressions—inviting you to feel at ease and honored from the moment you arrive.
During Your Appointment: What to Expect
-
Services are precise, clean, and considerate.
-
Skin may feel slightly tender or swollen immediately afterward—this is normal and temporary.
-
The session is personalized: we adjust pressure, speed, and technique for comfort and effectiveness.
Note: Hair regrowth varies from 2–8 weeks depending on your genetics and the area treated.
Our Standards
At Ripristinare Retreat, sanitation is paramount:
-
Strict no double-dip policy.
-
Tools and products are handled with the highest hygiene standards.
-
Every service is delivered with intention, presence, and care.
Result: A service that’s clean, safe, effective, and deeply restorative—so your skin looks, feels, and performs its best.
Before Your Appointment: Preparation Matters
Proper preparation ensures the most comfortable, effective results:
-
Hair Length: Hair should be at least ¼ inch long for optimal removal. Please refrain from shaving for at least 10 days prior.
-
Consultation: Every service begins with a full consultation to clarify your goals and preferences—no rush, no assumptions.
-
Cycle Considerations: Female clients may notice heightened sensitivity before or during menstruation. Booking after your cycle can reduce discomfort.
-
Pain Management: If desired, a mild pain reliever taken 30 minutes prior can help ease sensitivity.
-
Cleanliness & Exfoliation: Shower and gently exfoliate the area to ensure hygienic, smooth skin. You may choose to exfoliate the full body for enhanced results.
-
Avoid Oils & Lotions: For optimal adhesion, do not apply oils, creams, or lotions immediately before your session.
-
Medication & Skin Treatments: If you use Retin-A, Accutane, or other prescription topical treatments, inform us beforehand. Certain products may need to be paused for safety.
Tip: Coming well-prepared is the first step toward a smooth, restorative, and comfortable experience.
Aftercare: Protect & Restore
Post-wax care is essential for long-lasting results, skin health, and comfort:
-
Avoid Heat: No sunbathing, tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms, or hot baths for 24 hours.
-
Clothing: Wear loose, breathable clothing to reduce friction on sensitive areas.
-
Hygiene & Soothing: Gentle cleansing with warm water is ideal. Some clients enjoy a warm Epsom salt bath or a mild soothing topical product later in the day to calm and sanitize the skin.
-
Moisturization: Keep the area hydrated with gentle, non-irritating moisturizers to maintain softness and elasticity.
-
Exfoliation: After 48–72 hours, light exfoliation helps prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth results.
-
Maintenance: Regular exfoliation and hydration support ongoing comfort and hair removal effectiveness. We can recommend antibacterial and exfoliating products for home use if you experience irritation or ingrown hairs.
Tip: Treat your waxed skin with the same care you give any part of your wellness routine. Every step of preparation and aftercare contributes to optimal results.
