The Core Orientation

The framework, philosophy, and foundational practice of Embodied Restorative Orientation

An introduction to how the body holds experience — and how we begin to work with it

Open Book

Embodied Restoration Orientation (ERO)

Understanding the philosophy behind the work.

is the framework that quietly lives beneath all work at Ripristinare.

ERO is a therapeutic approach that helps the nervous system release tension

held in the face, fascia, and body through somatic awareness, gentle touch, and conversation.

At its core, ERO begins with a simple idea:

The body is an intelligent system

What we feel physically is rarely random.
Patterns of tension, expression, breath, and posture often reflect how the nervous system has learned to respond to life.

Rather than forcing change, ERO invites us to become curious about those patterns.

Look at how fascinating the body is.

Let’s explore it together.

The body is not broken — It is communicating

The body remembers

The body stores experience through muscle memory, fascial tension, and nervous system responses.

Sometimes the mind remembers first.
Sometimes the body does.

Often both are happening at the same time.

The face is part of the nervous system

The face is one of the most responsive areas of the body.

Tiny muscular shifts in the jaw, brow, eyes, and mouth reflect changes in emotional state, stress levels, and nervous system activity.

These patterns form quietly over time.

ERO works gently with these facial and fascial responses.

Fascia holds protective patterns

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body.

When the nervous system perceives threat, fascia tightens as part of the fight-or-flight response.

If the system never fully resets, these patterns can remain long after the original moment has passed.

Symptoms are information

Tension, discomfort, emotional responses, and physical habits are not problems to eliminate.

They are signals.

In ERO we approach these signals with curiosity, asking:

What is the body trying to communicate?

Sometimes we talk

Conversation can help bring awareness to patterns the body is holding.

Insight often arrives in the middle of a session.

Sometimes we laugh.

Sometimes a realization lands quietly.

Sometimes the body prefers silence

Other times the work becomes slower and more sensory.

Breath deepens.
Muscles soften.
The nervous system begins to settle.

Both approaches are part of the process.

Awareness creates change

When the nervous system becomes aware of its own holding patterns, it often releases them naturally.

Not through force.

Through recognition.

Who This Work Often Resonates With

Embodied Restorative Orientation tends to resonate with people who feel the effects of modern life in their bodies.

Those who:

ERO draws from Christina's  background in:

• Licensed Esthetics
• Certified Lifestyle Counseling
• Somatic bodywork practices
• Nervous system education
• Spa and restorative care

• feel chronically stressed, overwhelmed, or mentally overloaded
• carry tension in the jaw, brow, neck, or breath without realizing it
• feel “on” all the time and rarely experience true rest
• notice their body tightening in response to pressure, deadlines, or emotional strain
• feel deeply responsible for others and often forget to care for themselves
• move quickly through life and rarely pause long enough to listen inward
• feel curious about the relationship between the nervous system, fascia, and awareness
• are drawn to thoughtful, intelligent approaches to healing rather than quick fixes
• sense that their body is holding something it hasn’t yet had the space to release
• want to understand themselves — not just relax for an hour

Some arrive because they feel exhausted.

Others arrive because they are curious.

Both are welcome.

Healing doesn’t begin with fixing the body.It begins with learning how to listen to it.

What the Core Orientation Teaches

The Core Orientation introduces a different way of understanding the body.

Rather than viewing tension, discomfort, or emotional responses as problems to solve, we begin to see them as patterns created by the nervous system’s attempt to protect and adapt.

Through this work you will begin to recognize how:

You will also begin developing somatic literacy — the ability to notice subtle signals within the body before they become louder symptoms.

This is not about diagnosing the body.

It is about learning how to observe it with curiosity and intelligence.

Over time this shift in perception changes how you relate to:

The goal is not control.

The goal is recognition.

And recognition often allows the nervous system to reorganize naturally.

• memory can appear in the tissues
• fascia responds to emotional and neurological states
• the face reflects deeper nervous system activity
• awareness can soften long-held holding patterns
• stress
• physical tension
• emotional responses
• your own internal awareness

The Core Orientation Practice

An introduction to how the body holds experience — and how we begin to work with it

Embodied Restorative Orientation (ERO) is a therapeutic approach that helps the nervous system release tension held in the face, fascia, and body through somatic awareness, gentle touch, and conversation.

At its foundation is a simple idea:

The body is an intelligent system.

What we experience physically is rarely random.
Patterns of tension, expression, breath, and posture often reflect how the nervous system has learned to respond to life.

Rather than forcing change, ERO begins with curiosity.

Look at how fascinating the body is.

Let’s explore it together.

What You Will Explore

Within the Core Orientation, you will be introduced to the principles that guide Ripristinare’s approach to restoration.

The Foundations of Embodied Restorative Orientation

Understanding the relationship between awareness, fascia, and nervous system regulation.

How the body forms holding patterns — and how those patterns can soften when awareness is introduced.

Somatic Literacy

Learning to notice subtle signals in the body.

Tension patterns, bracing habits, breath changes, and the quiet ways the nervous system communicates through the tissues.

Structural Listening

Developing a different way of perceiving the body.

Rather than correcting or forcing change, we learn to observe the body’s structure and responses with curiosity.

Guided Orientation Practices

Simple, structured practices designed to restore coherence and presence.

These practices help you apply the principles of orientation in real time.

Reflective Integration

Thoughtful prompts designed to deepen awareness and support integration into daily life.

This is where insight often emerges.

This work is not about mastering techniques.

It is about cultivating perception.

What Is Included

Upon enrollment, you receive access to the Core Orientation materials.

The Embodied Restorative Orientation Manual (PDF)

A structured written guide introducing the framework, philosophy, and foundational practices.

Guided Orientation Audio Practices

Short guided sessions that help you experience the work directly.

Designed to support nervous system settling and embodied awareness.

Reflective Integration Prompts

Optional contemplative prompts that encourage deeper observation and integration.

These are not assignments — simply invitations to notice.

This material is designed to be revisited over time.

There is no schedule and no pressure to move quickly.

The body moves at its own pace.

Who This Is For

The Core Orientation is for those who:

• feel curious about embodied awareness
• want to understand the body beyond symptom management
• appreciate thoughtful, structured learning
• prefer depth over quick fixes

No prior somatic experience is required.

Just curiosity and a willingness to notice.
